IM Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize our foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into one clean ERP as a standardized platform for growth and efficiency gains. The program will simplify the Pharmaceutical ERP landscape from seven systems to one, standardizing processes to create a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose digital backbone that enables agility and scalability across the business.
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Deployment Manager within the Johnson & Johnson Technology (JJT) organization to lead the implementation of the Transcend SAP S/4HANA global process template within a regulated pharmaceutical environment. The role is responsible for coordination of deployment activities across all phases of a release, including Mobilization, Solution confirmation, PI Execution, Testing, Cutover and Hypercare. The ideal candidate will bring proven Project Management skills, a solid understanding Supply Chain ERP flows and the SAP S/4 family of products and a collaborative leadership approach with people management skills, to successfully guide cross-functional teams through the ERP transformation journey.
This is a Senior Manager level role that will focus on deployment activities for specific program releases, including but not limited to:
- Mobilization of stakeholders to gather release requirements and to confirm solution design of specific regional, site or function requirements.
- Ensure integrated deployment execution across the end-to-end release train, including technology teams, design and build factory and ecosystems.
- Manage deployment test cycles, support data loads, technical/business go live and hypercare for the release.
- Align all aspects of the release planning with stakeholders across IM Transcend and relevant interdependent programs for the release.
- Deployment planning, progress tracking, resource management, risk management, stage gate readiness.
The Deploy Manager will partner closely with business process owners, technical product owners, ecosystem owners and various vendor partners to ensure end-to-end capabilities are supported and evolved.
Key Responsibilities
- Administers day-to-day operations to support deployment activities based on the different release phases; Mobilization, Solution confirmation, PI Execution, Testing, Cutover and Hypercare.
- Support the implementation of program methodology based on the new operating model, including relevant templates, tools, controls, and cadence. Scale existing assets and standard processes to the new operating model.
- Lead daily and weekly program team cadence and meetings and reporting. Ensure program timeliness is appropriately handled, identify and escalate risks as appropriate.
- Handle cross-program interdependencies, issues, and challenges by working with respective partners to implement controls, cadence, and risk mitigations.
- Ensure cross-program workstreams like Testing, Cutover, Hypercare are coordinated and performing per plan. Drive standard methodologies, scale, leveragability, and resource optimization.
- Drive Ecosystem engagement ensuring availability of resources to deliver program squads’ objectives. Negotiate and influence Ecosystem partners to align priorities and finalize a joint plan.
- Build specific release communication content to be integrated into broader Program communications.
- Enthusiastically seek to promote standard methodology and continuous improvement principles across functional system deployments.
Qualifications
- Required Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Preferred Area of Study: Information Technology, Supply Chain, Finance
- Required Years of Related Experience: A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience; a minimum of 5 years relevant SAP experience; a minimum of 5 years relevant Pharma experience.
Experience and Skills
Required Domain Expertise
- Project Management experience in large business transformation and/or ERP implementation programs
- Experience in Pharmaceuticals/Healthcare industry and good knowledge of SOX & GxP compliance regulations
- Experience with agile methodology and good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle Management model and documentation
- Experience with SAP technology and a solid understanding of the SAP S/4 family of products
