CME Associates is seeking a motivated and skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Tinton Falls, NJ. This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with up to 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will work on a variety of civil engineering projects, including site development, transportation, and municipal infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects such as roadways, stormwater management systems, and site layouts.
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Conduct site visits and field investigations to collect data and assess project conditions.
- Perform technical calculations and analyses to support project designs.
- Utilize engineering software for modeling and simulations to optimize project outcomes.
- Identify and propose solutions to engineering challenges encountered during project execution.
- Ensure project designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations.Assist in the preparation and submission of permit applications and related documentation.
- Stay informed about relevant regulatory changes and industry standards.
- Work collaboratively with project teams, including engineers, architects, and construction managers.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements are met.
- Prepare and present technical reports and project updates to stakeholders.
- Assist senior engineers and project managers in coordinating project schedules and budgets.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project leaders.
- Contribute to the preparation of project proposals and bids.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Relevant coursework or internships in civil engineering projects is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably with a focus on site development, transportation, or municipal infrastructure.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil engineering design software.
- Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulic modeling software is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of GIS applications and data management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry practices.
