Description
Meta Power Solutions, a leading provider of power solutions in Lakeland, Florida, is seeking a skilled and experienced Sr Lead Field Technician to service Transformers and switchboards both at our factory and in the field across the US. The ideal candidate should have a valid NETA 3 certification and at least 10 years field experience and will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, transformers and switchboards at various service/installation sites, with a primary focus on ensuring the functionality and reliability of medium and high voltage equipment. There will be a balance of time spent in the field across the US at our customer sites, and at the Lake Park Florida Shop.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of oil-based transformers in both medium voltage and high voltage systems.
- Conduct diagnostic testing and analysis to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure timely completion of service tasks and installations.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols during service visits and installations.
- Travel to client sites for service and installation projects, with travel expenses covered by the company.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including reports, logs, and equipment documentation.
- Lead the referubishing department at our Lake Park facility.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers on transformer operations and maintenance best practices.
Requirements:
- NETA Level 3 Certication required.
-Proven experience as a Service Technician in oil-based transformer systems, with expertise in both Medium Voltage and High Voltage equipment.
- Team leadership skills, the ability to effectively lead and direct small service teams.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components associated with medium and high voltage transformers.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while traveling to different service/installation sites.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required for service projects.
- Certification or training in transformer maintenance and repair is a plus.
