• Prosecutor Responsibilities & Duties

Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues to prepare for trials and negotiations.

Prepare and present cases in a court of law, including the examination and cross-examination of witnesses and the presentation of evidence.

Advise law enforcement agencies on legal matters, including the preparation of search warrants, charging decisions, and plea negotiations.

Evaluate evidence and make decisions on the charges to be filed in criminal cases.

Negotiate plea bargains and other dispositions of criminal cases, as appropriate.

Collaborate with other prosecutors, law enforcement agencies, and victims' advocates to ensure that justice is served.

Prosecutor Qualifications & Skills

Experience in criminal law or prosecution

Strong courtroom experience

Excellent negotiation skills

Proficiency in legal research and case management

Ability to handle high-stress situations

Familiarity with forensic evidence and investigative techniques

Extensive knowledge of relevant laws and legal procedures

Effective communication skills, both written and oral

Strong ethical standards and integrity

Ability to build strong relationships with law enforcement and legal teams

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Admission to the bar and active license to practice law.

At least 3 years of experience as a Prosecutor or in a related legal field.

Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-stress situations.
