Structural Engineer – Enclosures

Responsibilities

Walter P Moore in Mexico City is looking for a Full Time Specialty Structures Engineer with 4+ years of experience in engineering enclosure systems, light-weight, long-span, complex and specialty structures.

 

• Work with a team of engineers and designers to design primary and secondary cladding solutions.
• Interface with Structural Engineering and Enclosure Engineering practices.
• Interface with both Clients and Contractors.
• Lead project development.
• Performing structural computations in the design and analysis of steel, aluminum, glass, cladding panels, or other miscellaneous enclosure components.
• Creating analysis models and interpreting results for Technical Designers and Clients.
• Assisting with construction administration tasks, including site visits and shop drawing review.
• Assisting with design drawings, quantities, specifications, reports and other project deliverables.
• Preparing technical studies and reports.    

 

Qualified candidates should also possess a high energy level and be a self-motivated professional who can work within a strong team environment, serving clients on major projects throughout the United States and internationally.  Technical specialization and leadership when meeting clients and for project needs, are pluses.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience in cladding design and/or specialty structures engineering.

• Professional Engineer (PE)
• S.E. in Structural Engineering
• Experience with Structural Analysis Software (SAP, Strand 7, GSA, Mepla, or similar)
• Working knowledge of Modelling Software (Grasshopper, Rhino, Revit, Dynamo, Tekla)
• Long Span Structures and membranes engineering experience are preferred
• Must be bi-lingual (English & Spanish)
• Demonstrated strength in providing excellent customer service.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills
