Analog Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADI) is a global semiconductor leader that bridges the physical and digital worlds to enable breakthroughs at the Intelligent Edge. ADI combines analog, digital, and software technologies into solutions that help drive advancements in digitized factories, mobility, and digital healthcare, combat climate change, and reliably connect humans and the world. With revenue of more than $12 billion in FY22 and approximately 25,000 people globally working alongside 125,000 global customers, ADI ensures today’s innovators stay Ahead of What’s Possible.

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Global Facilities Engineering team based in either San Jose, CA or Wilmington, MA. This is a strategic and high-impact role with both local and global responsibilities, providing the opportunity to influence ADI’s worldwide electrical infrastructure programs. The position plays a critical part in driving standardization, operational excellence, sustainability, and resilience across ADI’s non-manufacturing facilities portfolio spanning the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.

Their responsibilities will include supporting global non-manufacturing facilities.

General Roles and Responsibilities

  • Global Program Leadership: Maintain and improve global electrical standards, reliability programs, and energy-efficiency initiatives across ADI’s facilities portfolio.
  • System Ownership: Act as the technical authority for power, lighting, and LV/MV distribution systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations from design through sustaining support.
  • Resilience & Reliability: Design and maintain critical infrastructure (UPS, generator systems) with a focus on uptime, redundancy, and operational continuity worldwide.
  • Maintenance & CMMS Programs: Provide subject matter expertise on electrical systems within ADI’s global CMMS platform; optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Project Execution: Lead or support electrical scopes on construction and infrastructure projects of all sizes, from advanced cleanrooms and high-tech facilities to corporate offices.
  • Building Systems Design: Prepare and review electrical design documents including single-line diagrams, load calculations, panel schedules, lighting layouts, and fault current/arc flash studies.
  • Cross-Discipline Coordination: Collaborate with architectural, structural, and mechanical teams to ensure integrated, code-compliant building designs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive optimization of electrical systems to reduce cost, improve performance, and meet ADI’s ESG and Mission 2030 goals.
  • Data & Standards Development: Contribute to enterprise engineering databases, condition scoring tools, and global operating procedures.
  • Incident Response: Provide expert troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electrical events; lead global knowledge-sharing for corrective actions.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Champion energy-efficiency projects, lighting control upgrades, renewable integration, and grant/incentive programs.

Technical Skills & Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of building electrical systems design, including LV/MV power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and fire/life safety interfaces.
  • Proficiency with short-circuit, selective coordination, and load flow analysis tools (e.g., SKM, ETAP, EasyPower).
  • Ability to prepare and review construction documents, specifications, and BIM/Revit models for multi-discipline integration.
  • Familiarity with lighting controls, renewable energy systems, and smart building technologies (BMS, EMS).
  • In-depth understanding of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, IEC, and local/global building codes and standards.
  • Experience supporting construction administration—reviewing submittals, RFIs, and conducting field inspections.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required; advanced degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities electrical engineering, MEP consulting, or contracting. Background in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or high-tech environments is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage complex electrical projects and contribute to global engineering programs, balancing technical depth with program execution.
  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks (LEED, WELL, ISO 50001) and energy-efficient technologies; knowledge of international codes and standards.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Revit/3D modeling and CMMS platforms is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across geographies and disciplines.
  • Self-motivated, hands-on, team-oriented professional with a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced global environment.
