Job Description:

The Department of Psychiatry at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is seeking a Division Chief of Interventional Psychiatry to provide strategic, clinical, and academic leadership across the Department’s interventional psychiatry programs, including electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), esketamine, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and transcranial direct-current stimulation (tDCS), as well as growth opportunities for the field of interventional psychiatry and neuromodulation. The Division Chief will provide clinical care within the Department in one or more interventional psychiatry services.    A Harvard Medical School appointment at the rank of instructor, assistant, or associate professor would be commensurate with the record of accomplishments.

The Department of Psychiatry is deeply committed to delivering high-quality, safe, and equitable psychiatric care to a diverse patient population while advancing excellence in education, research, and innovation. Interventional psychiatry and neuromodulation are central to this mission, providing advanced, evidence-based treatments for patients with psychiatric illnesses warranting these treatments. Encompassed within this role is a growing portfolio of interventional and neuromodulatory treatment programs across inpatient and outpatient settings, including TMS and tDCS delivered in collaboration with the CNBS.

Pay Range:

$223,000 - $243,000

The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
