Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Interventional Pulmonologist to join our specialist respiratory medicine team in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic pulmonary services, with a particular focus on advanced bronchoscopic and interventional pulmonology procedures.The role involves providing high-quality patient-centered care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of advanced pulmonary services within the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with complex respiratory and pulmonary disorders.Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopic procedures.Provide interventional pulmonology services, including:Flexible and rigid bronchoscopyEndobronchial ultrasound (EBUS)Transbronchial biopsy and samplingBronchoalveolar lavageAirway interventions and management of central airway obstructionEndobronchial therapies as clinically indicatedPleural procedures, including thoracentesis and chest tube managementParticipate in the diagnosis and multidisciplinary management of lung cancer and pulmonary nodules.Manage complex airway, pleural, and pulmonary conditions.Work closely with thoracic surgery, oncology, radiology, pathology, critical care, and other relevant specialties.Provide consultation and second opinions for complex pulmonary cases.Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation.Participate in quality improvement, clinical governance, and patient-safety initiatives.Support teaching, training, and mentoring of junior physicians and clinical staff.Contribute to the development and expansion of the interventional pulmonology service.Qualifications & RequirementsMedical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pulmonology / Respiratory Medicine.Fellowship or advanced training in Interventional Pulmonology or equivalent advanced procedural experience.Valid eligibility/licensure to practice as a Consultant in Dubai/UAE, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.Significant post-specialist clinical experience in pulmonology and interventional pulmonology.Demonstrated competence in advanced bronchoscopic and pleural procedures.Experience in multidisciplinary management of thoracic malignancies is desirable.Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.Commitment to evidence-based medicine, patient safety, and high-quality clinical care.Preferred SkillsExperience with EBUS and advanced bronchoscopy.Experience managing complex central airway disease.Experience with pleural interventions and advanced diagnostic procedures.Familiarity with multidisciplinary thoracic oncology pathways.Interest in service development, research, education, and clinical innovation.What We OfferCompetitive consultant-level compensation package.Modern clinical facilities and advanced procedural infrastructure.Opportunities to develop and expand interventional pulmonology services.Multidisciplinary working environment.Professional development and continuing medical education opportunities.Supportive clinical and administrative environment.
