POSITION: Site Manager  

FLSA STATUS: Full-time, Exempt  

POSITION LOCATION: acac Adventure Central (VA) 

SUPERVISOR: Regional General Manager   

POSITION SUMMARY:  

Manage the daily operations of the club, providing a visible leadership presence for members, guests and team members. Ensure the club is properly staffed during all hours of operation and meets all photo-ready cleanliness standards and Five*Star service standards. Be fully trained and able to fill in for member services, housekeeping and membership sales. Drive membership and ancillary revenues and maintain operating expenses within budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create a safe and engaging environment.
• Be a role model for the acac and Five*Star culture.
• Work collaboratively with RGM to achieve revenue goals and manage expenses prudently.
• Respond on a timely basis to member and guest concerns and Medallia surveys.
• Hire, train and provide ongoing leadership to your team of direct reports.
• Provide oversight and general guidance to your indirect reports (personal trainers and group exercise instructors).
• Develop in-depth knowledge of all departments in your club.
• Assist the RGM in developing an annual operating budget.
• Review monthly financial reports and flag/investigate any budget variances.
• Have a working knowledge of Club Automation, Paylocity, goHappy, HubSpot, HappyFox and any other software/platforms integral to club operations.
• Regularly walk the facility to take note of any cleanliness, repair or maintenance issues and take action accordingly.
• Ensure all purchasing follows company procedures.
• Work collaboratively with other acac and Home Office leadership team members.
• Keep team and members informed of events and activities and encourage participation.
• Create and deliver special events to promote the club and member engagement.
• Handle Incident Reports for the club; train other team members on how to complete one in your absence.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Job Specific Knowledge

• Operations in high-end, resort-style, family-oriented facilities (club, hospitality or similar industries) is preferred
• Leadership and coaching skills
• Revenue generation and expense management skills
• Word and Excel proficiency

Experience

• Minimum three years in a leadership or management capacity in the athletic club, hospitality, or similar industry 
• Specific experience in customer and employee recruitment and retention is a plus

Communication

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; great listening skills
• Skilled and at ease in dealing with customer service or employee relations situations

Organization

• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Able to handle multiple concurrent projects and assignments

Education

• College Degree preferred
• CPO-certified
• First Aid/CPR certification required within 90 days of hire date
• The Site Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations, safety, and compliance of our youth programming site. The successful candidate must hold a valid Virginia state license or meet VDOE program coordinator qualifications to legally oversee a licensed child/youth day program in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This includes maintaining compliance with all state-mandated staff-to-child ratios, background checks, and health standards.

PHYSICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL and SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

• Able to stand, walk, sit, reach, and bend throughout the workday. 
• Able to move throughout the club and interact with members, guests, and team members in various areas of the facility. 
• Able and willing to work varied schedules, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
