The Job

The Inventory Lead oversees the inventory process in the store, ensuring accurate stock management and an organized flow of merchandise. This role is responsible for tracking, organizing, and maintaining inventory levels to support sales, uphold store standards, and optimize customer experience. The Inventory Lead collaborates closely with store teams and management but does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. 

The Opportunity

Inventory Management:

• Execute daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels. 
• Track incoming and outgoing merchandise, ensuring proper documentation and accurate recording. 
• Identify and address inventory discrepancies, working to prevent issues before they impact the sales floor. 

Merchandise Organization:

• Maintain organized storage areas and stockrooms, optimizing space and ensuring ease of access for store staff. 
• Ensure that merchandise is appropriately labeled, categorized, and rotated based on store standards and sales forecasts. 

Support Store Operations:

• Collaborate with associates, supervisors, and manager to align inventory levels with sales goals and promotional events. 
• Assist with receiving, processing, and stocking new shipments. 
• Coordinate with the store team to ensure products are available and easily accessible for a seamless customer experience. 

Inventory Audits and Reporting:

• Perform regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and compliance with store policies. 
• Provide detailed reports to store management, highlighting key metrics and identifying trends or issues in inventory levels. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

The Must Haves

• A high school diploma or equivalent or an equivalent background. 
• Proven experience in inventory management or retail operations.
• Attention to detail, record keeping, organization, communication.

Technology:

• Inventory Management Systems: Proficiency in using software to manage inventory and track movements. 
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems: Familiarity with ERP systems, which may be used for broader business operations, including inventory management. 
• Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Excel and Outlook for data management, communication, and reporting.

The base wage for this role ranges from $21.95/hr to $24.75/hr. Where you land in that range depends on your skills and experience, and we also factor in internal pay equity. While the full range is listed for this role, we rarely hire at the top of the range, leaving room for professional and financial growth in role.
