What Drives Success

Directs all aspects of the engineering function within Heatcraft as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.  Provides technical guidance and ensures sound engineering procedures and effective use of facilities. Responsible for evaluating requirements and directing engineering activities associated with product and process design, development, and modification. Recommends and supervises expansion and modernization of facilities. Ensures all engineering activities are in accordance with organizational standards. Responsible for financial and people management for the engineering department.  Directs and oversees strategy, execution and active industry involvement to drive, develop and comply with regulations and standards.  Leads development and execution of remedy for a broad scope of issues that may arise regarding product performance, quality, reliability and compliance.  Drives innovation in product and process that also yields appropriate intellectual property.  Provides expert technical guidance to legal team. 

What We Are Looking For

BS Engineering required, MBA strongly preferred. Requires a minimum of 8 years relevant engineering experience and at least 7 years managerial experience of increasing scope in a manufacturing environment for air-conditioning or refrigeration equipment.Broad knowledge of all areas within engineering functions including mechanical, electrical, controls,  and manufacturing. Must be able to integrate engineering strategies business needs and develop specific policies and procedures to support strategies. Must be able to direct and control the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers. Requires overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods. Effectively monitors team performance and actively drives continuous improvement as assessed by downstream internal and external customers.  Ensures projects are executed timely and within budget to achieve agreed-upon deliverables.  Strong interpersonal, written, and presentation skills.

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role.  Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
