About this opportunity

What you’ll do:

The Risk Specialist supports the Senior Risk Partner(s) to act as a source of trusted professional expertise to evaluate, review, investigate, challenge & mitigate the potential for risk in assigned areas of Lloyds Technology Centre, India (LTC).

 

The role holder is responsible for leading domain workstreams with strong ownership, accountability, and a product-oriented mindset, delivering business objectives with minimal supervision. They proactively identify, assess and escalate risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards while maintaining cost awareness and operational efficiency.

 

The individual drives meaningful team and cross-functional impact through high-quality assessments, robust testing, and process improvements. They contribute to strategic planning, influence policy and framework development and ensure outcomes are evidence-based, actionable, and measurable.

 

A key aspect of the role is solving complex and systemic challenges by analysing root causes, recommending practical solutions and leading initiatives that improve organisational resilience, risk management, and operational effectiveness. They champion continuous improvement and deliver transformational change with demonstrable business value.

 

The role requires strong leadership and collaboration skills, including influencing stakeholders, mentoring colleagues, sharing knowledge and driving cross-functional alignment. The individual serves as a trusted subject matter expert with deep domain knowledge, maintaining awareness of regulatory changes, emerging risks, industry best practices and innovations that strengthen organisational capability.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Own and lead domain workstreams independently, ensuring delivery of OKRs and business commitments.
• Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and regulatory obligations.
• Drive process improvements, operational excellence, and measurable business outcomes.
• Influence strategy, policy, and decision-making across teams and functions.
• Solve complex business and operational challenges using data-driven analysis and recommendations.
• Coach, mentor, and develop colleagues while fostering knowledge sharing.
• Act as a recognised SME, applying industry, regulatory, and risk expertise to strengthen organisational practices.
• Deliver initiatives that create measurable improvements in resilience, compliance, efficiency, and risk reduction.

 

Risk Assessment and Control Assurance Expertise

 

The role holder is expected to possess strong experience in conducting risk and control assessments across a broad range of operational, regulatory, and technology risk domains.

 

This includes evaluating and providing assurance over Supplier Risk, Human Resources & Colleague Conduct Risk, Health & Safety Risk, Financial Risks (including Payments, Transactions and Financial Reporting), Fraud Risk, Legal & Regulatory Risk, Data Privacy, Information Security, Physical Security, and Business Continuity.

 

The individual must apply a structured, evidence-based approach to identify control weaknesses, assess risk exposure, evaluate regulatory compliance, and recommend practical remediation actions. Assessments must be thorough, accurate, and aligned to internal frameworks, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices, enabling informed decision-making and strengthening organisational resilience.

 

What you’ll need:

• A deep understanding of the Group’s risk management framework
• Practical experience of Risk & Control Assessments along with experience of operating within the 3 lines of defence risk model
• A strong and consistent record of partnering is desired or the ability to demonstrate the building of collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, and the ability to influence these groups.
• Confidence in operating in an ambiguous and evolving environment, using data to inform decision-making and being prepared to deliver insightful views
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to communicate credibly and clearly, delivering consistent messages to a broad range of audiences. You enjoy translating complex concepts into simple messages.
• A natural collaborator, forming relationships with our key partners, both internally and externally.
