Location:

Regency Retirement Resorts have 8 locations in the Okanagan, including Vernon, Penticton, West Kelowna, and Kelowna.  This position is on site at Summerwood

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment for clients and staff. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional setting where attention to detail and reliability are highly valued. Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The position requires a strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to established standards
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly after use
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper as needed
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
• Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality and professionalism during all cleaning tasks

Skills

• Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
• Good time management skills to complete assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward maintaining clean environments
• Must provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one.

Salary and Hours of Work 

- Wage: $19.69/Hour

- 30-37.5 Hours/Week
