SAP Systems Analyst (Supply Chain & Logistics)

POSITION SUMMARY

The SAP Systems Analyst supports the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing support of SAP S/4HANA supply chain business processes within a regulated pharmaceutical environment. This role focuses on delivering functional solutions, supporting system stability, and ensuring compliance with FDA, GxP, and SOX requirements. The analyst works closely with business and IT teams across integrated supply chain workstreams, particularly Plan-to-Produce (PtP) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P), to support effective data flow between Manufacturing, Quality, Warehousing, and third-party logistics (3PL) systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Process Support & Functional Solution Design

• Manufacturing & Planning (PP):
• Support configuration and functional maintenance of Production Planning processes including master data, master recipes, process orders, and capacity planning.
• Assist business users with issue resolution and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
• Warehouse & Inventory Management (WM/EWM/IM):
• Support inbound, outbound, internal stock transfers, and physical inventory processes.
• Assist in configuration, testing, and support of WM/EWM and Inventory Management functions.
• Quality Management (QM):
• Support QM integration with MM and PP including inspection lots, usage decisions, batch status management, and COA generation.
• Assist with quality-related testing and validation activities.
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P):
• Support purchasing, goods receipt, invoice verification, and batch management processes.
• Assist with MM–FI integration issues.

Implementation, Support & Agile Participation

• Participate in SAP S/4HANA enhancements including configuration, testing, UAT, and cutover support.
• Support functional integration with SAP Ariba, MES, LIMS, and 3PL systems.
• Participate in Agile or hybrid delivery models using Jira.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics business teams.

Quality & Compliance

• Support Computer System Validation (CSV) documentation including Functional Specifications and Test Scripts.
• Assist with audit readiness, change management, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Work closely with QA teams to support GxP compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
• 7-10 years of SAP functional experience in MM, PP, QM, WM/EWM.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or support.
• Exposure to Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical environments preferred.
• Experience with system integrations such as Ariba, MES, LIMS, or 3PL.

Functional Competencies

• Strong understanding of SAP MM, PP, QM, EWM/WM, and IM integration.
• Working knowledge of Plan-to-Produce (PtP) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycles.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology.
• Experience using Jira or Agile tracking tools.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Hybrid: Durham, NC.
• Travel up to 5% may be required for project workshops or site-specific go-live support.
