The Opportunity:
In our data‑driven organization, we rely on accurate, timely, and high‑quality process insights to improve operational performance and enable informed decision‑making. As a Senior Celonis CoE Value Engineer, you will play a key role in enabling these insights by designing and maintaining robust data pipelines, modeling process data, orchestrating intelligent action flows, and integrating information from core business systems into the Celonis platform. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—including IT, Process Excellence, Operations, and Value Engineers—to ensure that Celonis serves as a trusted analytical foundation for continuous improvement. In this role, you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end technical enablement of process intelligence use cases, from data ingestion to transformation, validation, action flow orchestration, and ongoing performance optimization.
How you'll make an impact:
- Data Pipeline Engineering: Design, build, and maintain reliable ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems into Celonis, ensuring stability, accuracy, and scalability.
- Data Modeling: Develop optimized data models within Celonis to reflect end‑to‑end business processes, enabling advanced process mining, root‑cause analysis, and automation opportunities.
- Action Flow Orchestration: Design, build, and orchestrate complex, multi‑step action flows within Celonis to automate business processes, trigger downstream system actions, and drive measurable operational outcomes; establish reusable orchestration patterns and monitor action flow performance and reliability at scale.
- Integration Ownership: Collaborate with IT and application owners to integrate data from SAP, Oracle, databases, and other platforms into Celonis, ensuring seamless connectivity and data flow aligned with architectural standards.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and improve the performance of Celonis data models, pipelines, and action flow orchestrations, addressing bottlenecks and implementing best practices to support long‑term scalability.
- Data Quality Management: Establish and maintain data validation and cleansing mechanisms to ensure high‑quality, trustworthy data for process mining and analytics.
- AI/ML‑Enabled Process Intelligence: Apply AI/ML techniques (e.g., predictive process outcomes, anomaly detection, intelligent recommendations) to enrich process mining insights and enhance the intelligence of automated action flows.
- Collaboration & Enablement: Partner with business analysts, value engineers, and process owners to understand process requirements, translate them into data models and orchestrated action flows, and provide technical guidance for building value‑driven use cases.
- Documentation & Transparency: Create and maintain technical documentation for data pipelines, transformation logic, action flow designs, and Celonis data models to ensure clarity, maintainability, and alignment with internal governance standards.
- Continuous Innovation: Stay current with advancements in Celonis EMS, data engineering practices, AI/ML applications in process intelligence, and process intelligence technologies, proactively identifying improvement opportunities and contributing to building a scalable data foundation for the organization.
- Operational Excellence: Support the development of dashboards, action flows, and automations within Celonis to drive measurable business outcomes.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Living Hitachi Energy's core values safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your Background:
- Should have bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Must have 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with strong proficiency in ETL, data modeling, and data pipeline development.
- Minimum 2 years hands‑on experience with Celonis (data integration, modeling, building views, and designing/orchestrating action flows).
- Experience working with large‑scale ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle; strong domain knowledge in at least one SAP module is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with major relational database systems.
- Hands‑on experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript for automation and data transformation.
- Practical experience applying AI/ML techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, anomaly detection, NLP, or recommendation systems) to data or process analytics use cases is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL tools, and enterprise data flows.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and data orchestration concepts is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in data validation and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver high‑quality outputs in a fast‑paced environment.
- Passion for process improvement, data integrity, and high‑quality analytics.
- Willingness to continuously learn evolving Celonis, AI/ML, and data engineering capabilities.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
