This position reports to:
Service Manager__
Your role and responsibilities
You will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and lifecycle support of ABB Distributed Control Systems (DCS), including Symphony Plus, 800xA, Advant, and AC800M platforms. You will work closely with customers to ensure maximum system availability, optimize plant performance, and deliver high-quality technical support across industrial automation environments.
The work model for the role is: Onsite
This role is contributing to the AUEN in Egypt
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points.
- Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products.
- Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.
- Troubleshooting equipment/process failures, requesting proactive corrective actions, and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future.

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation, Control Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with ABB DCS platforms, including Symphony Plus, 800xA, Advant, and AC800M systems.
- Strong knowledge of control systems architecture, industrial communication networks, PLCs/controllers, HMI systems, and process automation.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills, with willingness to travel and work at industrial sites when required.
