Overview
Key West Historic Inns is seeking an outgoing, personable, and service-focused Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. If you enjoy creating great drinks, connecting with guests, and bringing positive energy to every interaction, we'd love to hear from you.
As a Bartender, you will create memorable guest experiences by preparing and serving beverages with consistency, quality, and attention to detail. You'll welcome guests, provide knowledgeable recommendations, maintain a clean and inviting bar, and help create the relaxed and engaging atmosphere our guests expect while visiting Key West.

Responsibilities
• Welcome guests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude while creating an engaging bar experience.• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes, presentation standards, and guest preferences.• Provide knowledgeable recommendations and answer guest questions regarding beverages, menu offerings, and ingredients.• Verify identification and responsibly serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with Florida law and company policies.• Accurately enter orders, process guest payments, and properly handle cash and credit card transactions.• Maintain proper cash handling procedures and accurately complete opening and closing responsibilities.• Maintain a clean, organized, stocked, and visually appealing bar throughout each shift.• Monitor inventory levels and restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and other bar supplies as needed.• Follow proper sanitation, food safety, and responsible alcohol service procedures at all times.• Monitor guest consumption and recognize when responsible alcohol service intervention may be necessary.• Engage with guests and anticipate their needs while maintaining efficient and attentive service.• Work collaboratively with fellow Food & Beverage team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.• Maintain knowledge of current menu offerings, specialty cocktails, promotions, and hotel information.• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and side work responsibilities as assigned.• Report guest concerns, equipment issues, or safety hazards promptly to leadership.• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- • Previous bartending experience in a hotel, resort, restaurant, bar, or similar hospitality environment preferred.• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, beverage preparation, and responsible alcohol service.• Previous cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) experience preferred.• Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor.• Ability to engage naturally with guests while providing attentive and efficient service.• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality and presentation standards.• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.• Must meet all applicable age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.• Food safety and responsible alcohol service certification preferred or ability to obtain required certifications.• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
