Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night-shift opportunity in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. This position provides respiratory care to patients, including assessment, treatment, emergency response, patient education, diagnostic testing, and respiratory equipment management.

$58,177–$78,520 annual salary

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Respiratory Therapist delivers ordered respiratory therapies, monitors patient condition and response to treatment, performs respiratory diagnostic procedures, responds to codes and emergent situations, educates patients and families, and maintains respiratory equipment and supplies.

ROLE
• Measure lung capacity and analyze blood samples using a blood gas analyzer.
• Perform EKGs and provide tobacco-cessation education as ordered.
• Deliver ordered respiratory therapies.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and response to treatment.
• Respond to codes and emergent calls, assess patient condition, and provide appropriate interventions.
• Evaluate and contribute to respiratory care policies and procedures based on outcomes, research, and best practices.
• Educate patients and families regarding illness, treatments, device use, and community resources.
• Monitor, receive, stock, and distribute respiratory supplies and medical gas cylinders.
• Maintain storage areas and respiratory equipment readiness.
• Disassemble, clean, sterilize, perform preventive maintenance, and calibrate respiratory equipment.
• Participate in performance improvement and required education.

Requirements

Requirements
• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy REQUIRED
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in the State of North Carolina REQUIRED
• BCLS certification REQUIRED
• ACLS certification REQUIRED
• PALS certification REQUIRED
• NRP certification REQUIRED
• Ability and willingness to work nights REQUIRED
• Ability to work onsite in Rutherfordton, NC REQUIRED
