Registered Nurse - Oncology

Our Client is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Oncology for a 13-week travel assignment supporting a busy outpatient oncology practice. The role will provide nursing care to oncology and hematology patients across exam visits, nurse triage visits, and treatment appointments, including the administration of immunotherapies and biotherapies.
Location: Alpharetta, GA 30005
Job Type: Travel Contract – 13 Weeks
Compensation: $43 – $46 per hour
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
The ideal candidate will have recent oncology nursing experience, chemotherapy administration experience, strong clinical judgment, and prior travel nursing experience.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide safe, competent, and patient-focused nursing care in an outpatient oncology environment.
· Support patients during examination visits, nurse triage visits, and treatment appointments.
· Administer immunotherapies and biotherapies for patients with oncologic and hematologic diagnoses.
· Assess patient conditions and monitor for treatment-related reactions and changes in clinical status.
· Provide appropriate patient education and support throughout the treatment process.
· Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary oncology team.
· Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, interventions, and outcomes.
· Follow established oncology, medication administration, patient safety, and departmental procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
· Minimum of 2 years of recent Oncology specialty experience.
· Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
· Recent oncology chemotherapy administration experience.
· Prior travel nursing experience.
· Ability to work 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
· Strong oncology clinical skills, communication, and patient-care abilities.
Additional Requirements
· This is a travel-only assignment; candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the assignment location.
· Floating is optional.
· No on-call requirement.
· Candidates must be available for the full 13-week assignment.
