TechOps Engineer

What You Will Do:

• Contribute to defining, developing, and continuously evolving cloud architecture, including design, deployment, security, and operations.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code automation using technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation to support production application deployments.
• Partner with Cybersecurity teams to design and implement secure cloud architectures that meet industry compliance requirements.
• Define, promote, and apply cloud optimization best practices to improve reliability, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Lead impact assessments and support decision-making related to technology choices, architectural design, and implementation strategy.
• Participate in an on-call rotation, working collaboratively with development and operations teams to support production systems.

What You Bring to PTC:

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience supporting cloud-based production environments.
• Working knowledge of building or applying AI agents to improve DevOps, CloudOps, automation, or operational efficiency.
• Strong experience designing, building, and operating systems in AWS cloud environments.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing cloud automation using Terraform and Ansible.
• 2+ years of production experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS ECS.
• Strong experience working with Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, networking fundamentals, and cloud connectivity concepts.
• Experience designing or supporting high-availability and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, and Datadog.
• Well-developed analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.
• A strong sense of ownership, urgency, accountability, and drive.

Nice to have qualifications: 

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
• AWS Certified Developer – Associate.
