Transfer Pricing and Tax Technology Specialist - Group Tax

Description
The successful candidate will help transform transfer pricing from a periodic tax compliance exercise into a scalable, technology-enabled operational process.The role will be responsible for improving data collection, automating calculations, enhancing transfer pricing governance, supporting global documentation requirements and preparing Davies for increasing compliance obligations and tax authority scrutiny.
This is a unique opportunity to build an in-house transfer pricing capability within a fast-growing international group. This is not a traditional TP documentation role. It is a hybrid transfer pricing, data, technology and transformation position designed to help Davies manage increasing global TP obligations, operationalise historic work, prepare for ICTS and create a scalable in-house capability.
Key Responsibilities
Transfer Pricing Compliance & Documentation
- Coordinate global transfer pricing compliance activities.
- Manage preparation of local files, master file support and transfer pricing documentation.
- Support Country-by-Country Reporting processes.
- Maintain transfer pricing policies and intercompany agreements.
- Ensure consistent application of transfer pricing methodologies across jurisdictions.
- Support responses to tax authority enquiries and audits.
- Assist with Mutual Agreement Procedure (MAP) and dispute management activities where required.
Transfer Pricing Operations
- Operationalise group service charge and management recharge processes.
- Own annual transfer pricing true-up calculations.
- Support implementation of transfer pricing adjustments in local ledgers.
- Help develop sustainable processes for recurring TP calculations rather than one-off manual exercises.
- Review new intercompany transactions and acquisitions to ensure appropriate charging mechanisms are established from day one.
Tax Technology & Data
- Lead transfer pricing technology initiatives across the Group.
- Identify opportunities to automate data collection and calculation processes.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility of transfer pricing positions.
- Partner with Finance, IT and Shared Services teams to improve data availability and quality.
- Evaluate external tax technology solutions and support implementation where appropriate.
- Build sustainable data models to support future ICTS and transfer pricing reporting requirements.
International Controlled Transactions Schedule (ICTS)
- Support design and implementation of Davies' ICTS readiness programme.
- Map required data points to existing finance systems.
- Develop collection and validation processes.
- Identify data gaps and remediation plans.
- Establish documentation and governance frameworks to support future filings.
Continuous Improvement
- Reduce reliance on external advisers through increased in-house capability.
- Standardise transfer pricing processes globally.
- Establish appropriate controls and governance.
- Develop audit-ready documentation and evidence trails.
- Support broader tax transformation initiatives across the Group.
Success Measures (First 12-24 Months)
- The successful candidate will: Build a repeatable transfer pricing operating model.
- Improve efficiency and reduce manual effort in annual TP calculations.
- Deliver ICTS readiness programme. Increase automation of transfer pricing data collection.
- Enhance audit defence and documentation capabilities. Reduce external advisor dependency.
- Improve visibility of intercompany transactions across the Group. Support identification of transfer pricing opportunities and tax savings.
- Establish India as a centre of excellence for transfer pricing operations and technology within Davies.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 6-10+ years experience in transfer pricing.
- Bachelor's degree in Taxation, Finance or related discipline.
- Experience in Big 4, transfer pricing consultancy or multinational in-house tax environment.
- Strong understanding of OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines.
