SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee and support all electrical engineering activities on a major ADNOC Onshore oil and gas project. The successful candidate will ensure that electrical construction, installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, ADNOC requirements, applicable codes, and client standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise all onshore electrical engineering activities during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases
• Ensure electrical installations are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, ADNOC standards, and applicable codes
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, QA/QC, commissioning, operations, and other disciplines to resolve site electrical engineering issues
• Provide technical support for electrical equipment installation, substations, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, cables, cables, lighting, earthing, and power distribution systems
• Review electrical drawings, datasheets, technical queries, method statements, material submittals, and field design changes
• Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project schedules, safety requirements, quality standards, and approved engineering deliverables
• Support inspection, testing, pre-commissioning, energization, commissioning, and start-up activities for electrical systems and equipment
• Participating in site inspections, walkdowns, punch list clearance, testing activities, and final acceptance
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives to resolve technical and construction-related issues
• Ensure all electrical works comply with ADNOC specifications, IEC standards, and relevant international codes and project requirements

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, with significant experience in onshore oil & gas projects
• ADNOC-approved Electrical Engineer with relevant project/site experience
• Proven experience in electrical construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, energization, and start-up activities
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems including HV/MV/LV switchgear, transformers, MCCs, generators, UPS, batteries, power distribution, cable systems, lighting, and earthing
• Experience working across all electrical engineering disciplines/systems within large-scale oil & gas or EPC projects
• Strong knowledge of IEC, BS, IEEE, NFPA, and relevant ADNOC standards and specifications
• Experience in site engineering, construction supervision, technical coordination, inspections, and resolving site engineering issues
• CICPA approval/card is mandatory
• Strong coordination and communication skills with contractors, EPC teams, vendors, and client representatives
• Immediate joiner or available at very short notice
• Candidates with strong ADNOC Onshore site experience and construction/commissioning background will be highly preferred
