The Building & Corporate Services Technician will be a hands-on role supporting the Company on building maintenance, moving, construction, meeting preparations, and other ad hoc activities. The successful incumbent will be both a mechanically inclined, hands-on doer, as well as an excellent communicator.
Job Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to
Oversee the work of vendors and service providers as needed.
Routinely drive between multiple Company locations and vendors to deliver materials and supplies and conduct maintenance.
Act as the central point of contact for any building maintenance inquiries, including, but not limited to: Renovations, Office Furniture (repair, construction, and replacement)
Communicate with facilities management about any work that requires outside expert assistance
Leverage experience to thoughtfully recommend facilities solutions and approaches that add value for the Company.
Create and maintain strong relationships with Human Resources, Safety and Security, and other teams.
Required Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience with hands-on mechanical, construction, or technical work in a building maintenance setting
At least 1 year of experience and a sound knowledge of building skills, including HVAC, plumbing, painting, drywall, and general building repair
Will need to be adept at using a variety of hand and electrical tools
High School Diploma
Safe driving record in order to maintain the ability to be insured by the Company’s insurance.
Ability and desire to perform maintenance work
Ability to lift 50 pounds on an irregular basis
Demonstrated ability to establish strong customer relationships and effectively communicate
Excellent communication skills to submit ideas, proposals, and decisions (in writing and orally) in a professional and pleasant manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in building construction would be beneficial
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, as required
Demonstrated ability to be exceptional at learning
Strong comfort level with accountability and delivering results
Basic IT skills including the ability to use excel and outlook
To occasionally be available for call outs, emergencies and after hours work
