M58 - Full Stack Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build and operate enterprise-grade cloud applications on Microsoft Azure. The role covers the full technology stack, including frontend, backend, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and production support.

You will also use modern AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude and ChatGPT to improve engineering productivity, testing, documentation and solution delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop full stack applications using React, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java and Python.
• Build scalable backend services and REST APIs/microservices using Spring Boot, FastAPI or equivalent frameworks.
• Develop cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure, including App Service, Functions, Azure SQL, Storage, API Management and Key Vault.
• Implement CI/CD and DevSecOps practices using Azure DevOps, GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Use Terraform/Bicep, Docker and Kubernetes/AKS for infrastructure and application deployment.
• Implement secure authentication and access using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC and managed identities.
• Integrate AI capabilities using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI or Copilot services where applicable.
• Support technical design, troubleshooting, monitoring, performance optimisation and production incidents.
• Collaborate with product, business, security and platform teams throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline.
• 10+ years of software development experience, including enterprise application delivery and production support.
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript.
• Strong backend development experience with Java and/or Python.
• At least 3 years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases and cloud-native applications.
• Experience with Azure DevOps/GitHub CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Terraform/Bicep, Docker and Kubernetes/AKS.
• Experience with application security, secrets management, vulnerability management and secure coding.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude or ChatGPT.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

• Experience with Singapore Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) or regulated enterprise environments.
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI or Copilot.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture using Azure Service Bus/Event Grid.
• Experience with platform engineering, reusable engineering templates and developer platforms.
• Experience with observability tools such as Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
