Role summary:As a Distinguished Product Manager at Walmart, this senior individual contributor role leads the development and execution of product strategies that align with business objectives and customer needs. This role drives data-informed decisions, manages complex product roadmaps, and fosters strong stakeholder relationships to ensure successful product delivery and adoption. By leveraging deep technical knowledge and innovative approaches, optimizes platform capabilities, promotes continuous improvement, and supports talent development. This position demands strategic vision, operational excellence, and effective communication to advance business goals while maintaining high standards of integrity and customer focus.
About the team:
Operational Datastores domain is responsible for a product portfolio that spans Azure, Google, and Walmart clouds and edge locations. Datastores in RDBMS, Distributed System-of-Record, Cache, Search domains are a critical dependency for omnichannel commerce, edge and enterprise workloads. A large datastore fleet presents opportunities to optimize for Walmart while delighting tens of thousands of developers worldwide and the business they serve.
What you'll do:
- Fearless advocate for users during investment reviews.
- Drive clarity and alignment with a strong bias to action. Manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication targeting stakeholders at multiple levels spanning organizations.
- Deliver in a hybrid public and private cloud (multi-cloud) infrastructure.
- Influence external (public cloud) partners to deliver features, optimize their service for Walmart workloads.
- Use product success metrics to make investment decisions, engage users and reduce waste.
- Own product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with market trends and organizational goals.
- Analyze product usage and customer insights to drive informed, data-driven product decisions and continuous improvement.
- Mentor team members to enhance customer focus and product delivery effectiveness.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in platform product management with strong capabilities in product strategy and roadmap development.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze business objectives and customer needs to drive data-driven product decisions.
- Experience with cloud technologies, distributed and relational databases, and data modeling to support scalable solutions.
- Skilled in communication, stakeholder influence, and partner relationship management to align cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in prototyping, cost-benefit analysis, and market trend evaluation to identify new value opportunities.
- Ability to lead product lifecycle management using Agile methodologies and rapid experimentation.
- Commitment to integrity, continuous improvement, and fostering a customer-centric environment.
