Purpose of the role
To support coverage to grow income for both new and existing customers by providing marketing leading tools, a world class learning & development programme as well as analytical support in terms of sales management tools to contribute to the overall success of UKC.
Accountabilities
- Design, execution and embedding of an ongoing roadmap to provides market leading Tools for RDs and Coverage.
- Design, execution and embedding of an ongoing training plan to provide ‘World Class Learning’.
- Support the delivery of market leading client collateral to provide a competitive advantage to RDs. .
- Collaboration with Product to develop market leading industry/segment focused products and multi product solutions and develop and drive initiatives.
- Development of the data capability across UK Corporate to enable delivery of client insights to drive acquisitions and increase wallet share.
- Maximise the positive impact of UCRM and Salesforce as a tool for Corporate Banking.
- Implementation of agreed minimum standards and best practices across UK Corporate and support this with sales management tools to drive overall success.

To be successful as a "Assistant Manager", you should have experience with:
Providing executive assistant, administrative and business management support to senior leaders, including proactive diary management, meeting coordination, inbox support, stakeholder follow-ups and day-to-day prioritisation. Coordinating leadership visits, stakeholder engagements, workshops and business routines, ensuring logistics, agendas, materials, actions and communications are managed efficiently and to a high standard.
Basic/ Essential Qualifications:
- Experience of working as an Executive Assistant, Team Assistant, Administrator or Business Management support colleague in a financial services, corporate or professional services environment.
- Strong diary management capability, including prioritising complex calendars, resolving conflicts, coordinating meetings across time zones and ensuring leaders are well prepared for key commitments.
- Ability to support senior leaders and stakeholders with professionalism, discretion and confidence, maintaining strong relationships across internal teams, leadership offices and business partners.
- Experience managing leadership visits, including agenda shaping, travel and logistics coordination, room bookings, access arrangements, briefing packs, attendee coordination and post-visit actions.
- Ability to prepare and coordinate high-quality meeting materials, trackers, action logs, governance packs, presentations and business updates for senior stakeholder forums.
- Experience supporting internal communications, including drafting leadership emails, stakeholder updates, visit communications, briefing notes, meeting summaries and follow-up messages tailored for senior audiences.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, anticipate requirements, follow through on actions and deliver within tight timelines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling administrative activities, communications, schedules, data, documents and stakeholder information.
- Understanding of risk, confidentiality and control requirements when handling sensitive leadership information, business updates, personal data, travel arrangements and internal communications.
Other skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, professional and audience-appropriate emails, meeting notes, leadership updates, visit communications and stakeholder messages.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build effective working relationships with senior leaders, assistants, business managers and wider stakeholder groups.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint. Flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to support UK working patterns and respond effectively to changing business priorities.
Desirable skillsets/ good to have:
- Graduate or postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Experience in executive assistance, administration, business management support, office management or a related support role.
- Experience supporting senior leaders, leadership offices or multi-stakeholder business forums in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Ability to think ahead, anticipate stakeholder needs, identify issues early and resolve operational or logistical challenges with minimal supervision.
Risk and Control Objective:
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.
