Job Description Summary
We are looking for a Project Quality Leader for GE Vernova's North American Hydroelectric entity. In this role, the Project Quality Leader is the first point of contact and the reference for quality management within a project team. He/she ensures compliance with all requirements of the project management process and GE Vernova standards. He/she promotes quality assurance in all areas of execution and functions and ensures compliance with contractual commitments to our clients.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and provide contract requirements related to quality to the project team and support function kickoff meetings to ensure that all contract-specific requirements are conveyed to all stakeholders.
- Consolidate lessons learned from previous projects to make them actionable to prevent problems. Define with the project director the quality assurance strategy and identification of the project's risks.
- Produce the project quality plan and inspection and test plans in collaboration with the other functions. Communicate and ensure the application by the members of the project team.
- Prepare and coordinate quality inspections with the customer and supply chain in accordance with the inspection and testing plan.
- Manage the preparation and delivery of the quality databooks for the components before delivery, ensuring compliance with the client's requirements.
- Periodically monitor the performance of project processes (non-quality costs, product non-conformities, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction)
- Coordinate customer satisfaction surveys ensuring that we receive periodic responses from the customer and process them accordingly.
- Manage non-conformity reports.
- Support the Project Director for the analysis and management of cost of non-quality, the associated claims process, the associated curative and containment, corrective and preventive actions.
- Support the site team in the preparation of quality documentation and ensure that quality control is done in accordance with the client's requirements.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Good knowledge of quality management principles and tools
- Relevant experience in project management.
- Experience in customer relationship management.
- Fluent in English
- Ability to travel occasionally within Canada and North America.
Desired Qualifications/Characteristics:
- Experience in the hydropower industry.
- Holder of a professional engineering license
- Fluent in French
- Project Management Certification

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $87,000.00 and $145,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
