Grow your career in this exciting opportunity as Business Intelligence Engineer. Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager, you will work remotely to support the WI Market. The Wisconsin market BI team uses data science, public health expertise, business intelligence, and health care expertise to solve meaningful problems for partners. You will help improve Humana's performance and improve the health and life of our members by transforming data into advanced analytic solutions.Main Responsibilities:
- Use technologies, applications and practices to collect an organization's raw data to create insightful business information.
- Understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating goals, including their linkages to related areas.
- Build reports in automation tools such as Power BI, MS Excel and SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio) (can perform complex functions).
- Support team projects and assist team members, collaborate with other departments on report requirements and projects.
- Create documentation, presentations, process flows, summaries, and other materials that explain technical processes, reporting logic, and recommendations in a way that is understandable.
- Facilitate discussions with business and technical partners to gather requirements, clarify needs, explain solution alternatives, identify risks, and drive agreement on desired outcomes.
- Support collaboration, documentation, and partner engagement across teams
- Attend quarterly business meetings in person in Wisconsin.

Required Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience in data analysis
- 3 or more years of experience in Power BI
- 3 or more years of experience assessing complex data sets and performing root cause analysis
- 3 or more years of experience in Excel including formulas, pivots, charts, graphs
- 1 or more years of SSMS
- Reside within WI or a boarding state, commutable to WI.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- 1 or more years of experience in SAS or other data systems
- Experience with data mining and predictive modeling techniques

- Typical Workdays/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm Central Standard Time (CST)
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
