Lead Housekeeping Aide - Cornell Hospital - Full Time - Evening Shift

At NewYork-Presbyterian, our housekeeping staff is essential to ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients and their families. From friendly smiles and conversations, to the continuous focus on infection control, our housekeeping professionals help to provide a positive experience for everyone within our hospital. In this role, you will perform tasks to clean and maintain assigned work areas to ensure sanitary, neat, and attractive conditions, in accordance with established procedure. Gather and dispose of trash and clean and scour sinks, tubs, toilets. You will also support the team by providing training and work direction for other Housekeeping Aides.  In addition, assist Supervisors with scheduling and personnel actions.  You'll spend quality time to build solid relationships with patients and their families and go above and beyond to deliver superior customer service and ensure their comfort and safety at all times. 

This is a full time position, working 4:00pm-12:00am, including weekends/holidays.

Preferred Criteria

• Qualified candidates have extensive customer service experience and a desire to Put Patients First

• Experience in the hotel, restaurant or retail industry

Required Criteria

• High school diploma or GED

• Three to five years of progressive job related experience
