We’re looking for an enthusiastic, talented Lead Hair Stylist / Assistant Manager to join our team. This role is perfect for a stylist who loves creating beautiful hair, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and stepping into a leadership role to help a team thrive.

Assistant Manager Responsibilities

In addition to providing exceptional styling services, the Assistant Manager will:

• Support the Manager / Shop Educator with the day-to-day operations of the shop
• Lead by example and create an upbeat, welcoming environment for guests and team members
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience from check-in through checkout
• Support team members through coaching, motivation, and performance development
• Help drive sales, rebooking, memberships, retail, and overall shop goals
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, opening and closing procedures, and daily operations
• Maintain Drybar’s standards for cleanliness, presentation, service, and hospitality
• Handle guest questions or concerns professionally and find solutions that create loyal guests
• Help build a strong team culture centered around teamwork, accountability, and positivity
• Step into a leadership role and help keep the shop running smoothly when the Manager is unavailable
• Serve as a positive resource and role model for the stylist team

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a lead stylist and natural leader who has:

• Previous leadership or management experience in beauty, hospitality, retail, or another customer-focused environment
• A current and valid cosmetology license for the state in which you are applying
• Amazing hair styling and finishing skills
• A genuine passion for blowouts, beauty, and delivering exceptional service
• A natural ability to coach, motivate, and encourage others
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• A positive, energetic attitude and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Flexible availability, including weekends and some evenings
• The confidence to lead while remaining a supportive and collaborative team player
• A strong drive and intrinsic motivation to succeed
• The ability to collaborate effectively and contribute positively to a dynamic team environment
