Role Description

Responsible for delivering a comprehensive HR Advisory service to Live Nation UK, Academy Music Group and relevant subsidiary companies, ensuring HR policies, processes and best practice are consistently applied. Acting as the first point of contact for HR and Employee Relations advice, while providing support to the wider HR team as required.

Who you are

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • Experience working in an HR Generalist function
  • In depth knowledge of current UK employment law
  • Experience in dealing with a wide range of employee relations issues
  • CIPD qualification/ HR qualification
  • Work Visa and Immigration requirements and understanding of application processes
  • Excellent time management skills and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and in house HRIS system). Experience using Workday would be advantageous
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Approaches work proactively, with excellent customer service skills
  • A high level of attention to detail

What the role includes

  • Provide accurate and consistent HR advice and guidance to line managers in relation to employee relations issues including, restructures, flexible working, performance concerns, absence issues, investigations, grievances and disciplinary hearings
  • Escalating all bullying and harassment claims to HR Managers and SVP HR
  • Build relationships with line managers within the business to swiftly grasp key business and management issues
  • Ensure that relevant policy, process and employment law is followed, necessary evidence is collated and documented, and consistent and appropriate action is taken
  • Coach and provide assistance to supervisors and managers to successfully achieve the above
  • Assist HR Managers to formulate and deliver HR strategy and change management process
  • Update and maintain electronic personal records using the Company System (Workday) in the absence of the HR Assistant
  • Provide advice and appropriate support to both individuals and hiring managers in the process of visa applications where necessary and flag any concerns with the HR Manager
  • Monitor and address absence levels and issues, working closely with line managers by coaching on best practice, i.e. return to work interviews and other interventions to support employee wellbeing
  • Assist with any ad hoc project work as directed by the HR Managers or SVP HR
  • Manage occupational health referrals, working with line managers to ensure appropriate support and/or reasonable adjustments for employees are provided where appropriate
  • Cover HR Assistant duties as and when required
  • Support the wider HR team with Company Wellbeing Initiatives and any other ad-hoc projects
  • Work with other HR Advisors across the business to ensure policies are updated

Reporting

  • Maintain centralised absence records, liaising with Payroll for adjustments in accordance with Company Sick Pay entitlements
  • Work with HR Assistant to ensure that all absences are self-certified on our Company System (Workday) and/or doctor’s certificate where appropriate including reminding line managers of medical certificates that are due to expire
  • Run a report for the online exit interview and leavers from the Company System (Workday) and feedback to HR managers and SVP HR
  • Report all patterns and long-term sickness (over 4 weeks) to the HR Managers
  • Work with HR Assistant to compile HR business reports where required
