What you will be doing:
As an Event Maître D’ , you’ll lead the service team and help every event run smoothly. You’ll welcome guests, coordinate with the kitchen and management, and support your team in delivering attentive, memorable service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the front-of-house team and coordinating service throughout each event
- Preparing the event space and maintaining its presentation and cleanliness
- Greeting guests, anticipating their needs, and resolving concerns professionally
- Reviewing menus and communicating allergies, special meals, and guest preferences to the team
- Monitoring service timing, food presentation, and the flow of the event
- Assisting with food and beverage service, clearing, and other duties as needed
- Adapting to changes during events while keeping the team informed and focused
- Working with the Banquet Manager and sharing feedback to improve future events
This is an opportunity for a confident, hands-on leader who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering exceptional events.
What You Bring to the Team
- Experience in banquets, catering, restaurants, or other busy service settings
- Valid Smart Serve certification is required
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and event-based hours, including closing shifts as late as 1:30am is required
- Reliable transportation is required, preferably a valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle
- A welcoming approach and a commitment to excellent guest service
- Clear communication and the confidence to lead and support a team
- The ability to stay calm and make sound decisions during busy events
- A polished, professional appearance and a reliable, hands-on attitude
