Team Overview

Our team delivers application development and integration solutions that support TransUnion's products and customer implementations. We focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performing Java-based applications and integration workflows that enable efficient business operations and customer outcomes.
The team operates within the Global Technology and Global Integration Solutions organization under the leadership of Venkat Achanta. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modernize enterprise fraud solutions using cloud-native architectures and engineering best practices.

• Partner with Product Management, Architecture, and Engineering teams to define and execute the fraud platform modernization roadmap.

• Develop scalable, highly available, and low-latency applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.

• Design and implement APIs, event-driven solutions, and distributed systems to support global fraud services.

• Contribute to system architecture, technical design reviews, and engineering best practices.

• Leverage cloud platforms and DevOps practices to improve deployment, scalability, and operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.

• Mentor team members, provide technical guidance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, PI planning activities, and delivery commitments.

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive performance, reliability, and security improvements.

Required Knowledge And Experiences

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise application development using Core Java.

• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.

• Expertise in System Design, distributed systems, scalable architectures, and cloud-native application development.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.

• Experience with Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming platforms.

• Familiarity with NoSQL databases and data-driven application design.

• Experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment practices.

• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.

• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support experience.

• Excellent leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
