Want to join the leader in AI-powered data security?
The Physical Security Application Engineer supports the day-to-day operation, deployment, and continuous improvement of Cohesity’s physical security technology ecosystem. This role is primarily focused on troubleshooting, installation and deployment support, quality assurance, testing, auditing, data management, ticket triage, and end-user support across access control, video management, visitor management, and related security platforms. The role also coordinates with regional vendors, supports GSOC and physical security operations as needed, and uses metrics and system data to identify trends, recommend solutions, and improve service quality. The ideal candidate is self-driven, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and comfortable partnering with internal teams and external service providers to drive issues to closure.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE
Triage, investigate, and resolve physical security application issues across access control, CCTV/video management, visitor management, and related end-user support requests.
Support new site deployments, system expansions, device additions, and application configuration needs in partnership with physical security, IT, facilities, and regional vendors.
Perform quality assurance, system testing, commissioning support, validation, and post-deployment checks to confirm solutions operate as designed.
Maintain accurate system data, device records, floorplan information, documentation, and audit outputs that support compliance, reporting, and operational readiness.
Monitor, prioritize, and manage incoming tickets while escalating complex issues appropriately and keeping stakeholders informed through resolution.
Coordinate with regional vendors by scheduling service needs, tracking deliverables, validating completed work, and following up on open items.
Use ticket data, system alerts, audit findings, and operational metrics to identify recurring trends and recommend practical, data-informed solutions.
Provide technical support to the physical security team and GSOC for application usage, system issues, basic investigations, and operational workflows.
Create and maintain user guidance, provide basic training, and help end users and security partners adopt physical security tools and processes effectively.
Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, deployments, test results, audit findings, and status updates clearly and consistently.
Manage assigned work independently, drive issues to closure, and proactively communicate risks, blockers, and recommended next steps.
Travel occasionally to Cohesity office locations to support deployments, installations, audits, training, or service needs.
WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING
5+ years of experience in physical security technology, technical support, security operations, IT support, systems deployment, or a related field.
