Responsibilities
Peraton is Cyber Threat Briefer – Global Threat Analysis (GTA) for its' Federal Strategic Cyber program.
Location: Rosslyn, VA (Full-time, On-site, 5 days per week)
In this role, you will:
- Serve as the primary briefer for Global Threat Analysis (GTA), responsible for developing and delivering high‑quality cyber‑related geopolitical threat briefings that support operational awareness and decision‑making across the Department.
- Provide expert analysis and consistent briefing support to GTA stakeholders.
- Prepare and present tailored cyber‑geopolitical threat briefings for diverse audiences - to technical and non‑technical audiences, including senior leadership.
- Demonstrate deep regional geopolitical expertise, with strong knowledge of historical, current, and emerging adversarial activity across assigned regions.
- Apply analytical writing and briefing skills to explain complex cyber‑threat developments through a geopolitical lens.
- Conduct research using classified systems and incorporate open-source cyber and geopolitical intelligence to inform assessments.
- Understand and articulate how cyber adversaries target U.S. Government personnel domestically and overseas within broader geopolitical contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze cyber threats and adversarial behavior with emphasis on regional motivations, geopolitical drivers, and strategic impacts.
- Conduct classified and open-source research to identify emerging threats and relevant geopolitical shifts.
- Track adversarial cyber activity and assess implications for USG personnel, missions abroad, and critical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with CTAD sections, interagency partners, and other stakeholders to enhance situational and geopolitical awareness.
- Maintain current knowledge of regional threat actors, geopolitical developments, and strategic trends affecting U.S. interests.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; 7 years with a Masters; 4 years with a PhD.
- An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of the bachelor's degree.
- Possess and maintain, or be able to obtain before start date, the following professional certification:
- CASP+ CE; CCNA Cyber Ops; CCNA-Security; CCNP Security; CEH; CFR; CISA; CISSP (or Associate); Cloud+; CySA+; GCED; GCIA; GCIH; GICSP; SCYBER; VCA DCV; PPDA; Agile IC;SNOW App Dev
- Demonstrated strong writing and briefing skills; experience delivering reports to senior leadership.
- Expertise in adversarial cyber actors, historical cyber activity, and the current cyber landscape.
- Experience conducting research on classified systems and utilizing open-source cyber resources.
- Knowledge of how USG personnel are targeted domestically and overseas by cyber threats.
- Technical proficiency in cybersecurity principles, including malware analysis, network defense, and incident response.
- Demonstrated familiarity with intelligence tradecraft, cyber threat intelligence methodologies, and cyber threat frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, etc.).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Must adapt quickly to last-minute requests and remain calm under pressure when handling urgent briefing updates or requests.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a final Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with cyber threat intelligence platforms, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM tools.
- Knowledge of foreign cyber threat actors and their strategic objectives.
- Previous experience in a government, military, or intelligence community (IC) role.
