Description
Sayres is seeking a Junior Program Analyst to provide executive, program management, analytical, and administrative support to a U.S. Navy program office. This position will assist with project coordination, executive-level communications, deliverable tracking, process improvement, and daily program office operations.
Responsibilities:
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of program initiatives, projects, and administrative activities.
- Monitor project management systems and track schedules, milestones, risks, action items, deliverables, and task status.
- Review current processes and assist with documenting procedures and developing process-improvement plans.
- Coordinate program office operations, including records management, correspondence, schedules, long-range planning, and deliverable tracking.
- Manage executive-level calendars using Microsoft Outlook, including program reviews, meetings, conferences, speaking engagements, and official functions.
- Develop presentations, briefing materials, status reports, and other executive-level communications.
- Brief customers and stakeholders on project progress, milestones, risks, and outstanding actions.
- Serve as a point of contact for major program events and support program leadership with special initiatives and ad hoc requirements.
- Research and prepare background information and logistics for meetings, travel, engagements, and major program milestones.
- Use SharePoint and other Navy or program-specific systems to conduct research, manage documentation, and maintain program records.
- Maintain sensitive program information in accordance with Navy policies and procedures.
- Monitor incoming communications and accurately document and distribute messages and correspondence.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical files.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of recent, relevant experience in program, project, executive, or administrative support.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Experience supporting the U.S. Navy, Department of Defense, or a similar defense acquisition organization.
- Experience developing presentations, preparing written materials, and briefing customers or stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, initiative, and responsiveness.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an integrated program team.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, English, project management, or a related field.
- three or more years of relevant experience.
- Experience with SharePoint and project or task management tools.
- Experience supporting senior executives or Navy program office leadership.
