SUMMARY
The Billing Clerk processes vehicle deals, verifies costs, and ensures deals are billed accurately and timely.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
§ Receive and process paperwork from the F&I department
§ Input inventory control information
§ Post vehicle sales and purchases
§ Report new car sales to the manufacturer
§ Register extended service policy contracts
§ Prepare billing files for all car deals.
§ Organize all paperwork in each deal for completeness, accuracy and compliance
§ Log and post all deals , wholesales and dealer trades into accounting ledger
§ Ensure that all paperwork required for titling/registration is included and complete in every deal
§ Any other duties assigned by office management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales agreements, tax and title documents, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, employees and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
