Are you an experienced early childhood professional who is ready to take the next step into leadership?
Chambliss Center for Children is looking for a confident, organized, and caring Director to lead the day-to-day operations at Pro Re Bona Early Learning Center. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on children, families, and the staff who care for them. The Director is responsible for creating a safe, positive, and effective learning environment while leading a team of teachers, teacher assistants, a cook, and site volunteers. You will oversee staffing, enrollment, daily operations, records, licensing requirements, and staff development.

What You'll Do
- Manage the center's day-to-day operations.
- Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate center staff.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee the admission and discharge of children in care.
- Maintain accurate records required for the operation of the center and licensing.
- Ensure center practices meet or exceed applicable childcare licensing rules and regulations.
- Stay engaged and available during center operating hours to respond to needs as they arise.
- Ensure children receive high-quality care and support.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in early childhood education.
- At least 3 years of management or supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of childcare licensing rules, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
- Basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity when working with diverse populations.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent movement throughout the center to supervise staff and operations.
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds, including when providing classroom coverage.
- Ability to occasionally bend, reach, and stand for extended periods.
Schedule
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. Hours may vary based on the needs of the program. The Director is on-call during the center's operating hours.
