Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
We're seeking an Aquatics Supervisor to join our team. As our new Aquatics Supervisor you will:
Schedule and supervise lifeguards
Instruct 10 to 15 hours a week of Aquatics Classes
Conduct regular pool maintenance to maintain the appropriate water chemistry in the pools ensuring a safe aquatic environment for our members
Lifeguard as needed
Be involved in an ongoing program and evaluation process to determine the relevancy of existing programs and the development of new offerings
Be involved in development of Special Event programming and annual department objectives
Work with the Aquatics Staff in creating and maintaining uniform standards for Aquatics classes
Practices good judgment in organizing and maintaining a safe and effective aquatic environment
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervision of Facilities
Regular monitoring of the Aquatics Centers to assure the safety of all users, diagnose potential problems, setting of high standards for cleanliness and appearance and regulate appropriate use of facilities
Working with the Senior Performance Manager to ensure appropriate coverage during all operating hours
Working closely with the Senior Performance Manager and the Building Facility Managers to ensure quality of the Aquatics Centers and most especially our pool chemistry and air quality
Implement systems that assure inventory and supplies are available for proper functioning of facilities (i.e. pool chemistry, testing equipment, lane line, kickboards, bar bells etc.)
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Current DLRG or Wasserwacht Lifeguard Badge (Silver or Gold)
Must maintain current certifications, including certifications pertaining to lifeguarding, CPR/AED, First Aid and any and all certifications required by the Senior Performance Manager
Degree in related field or comparable experience
The Aquatics Supervisor must have strong customer service skills and must be skilled in developing relationships with members of all ages
