About the Role:
The Tax Specialist will support the Global Tax Team in managing income tax compliance, ASC 740 tax provision activities, and tax research across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. This role includes preparing tax filings, supporting tax accounting and deferred tax calculations, assisting with audits, and maintaining tax data in OneSource.
The position also involves researching technical tax matters, monitoring changes in tax laws, supporting process improvements, and coordinating tax‑related payments with internal teams. Candidates should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
The Tax Specialist is an integral part of the Global Tax Team. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist with the preparation of federal, state, and local tax compliance, conduct research on relevant technical tax matters, and support the preparation of ASC 740 calculations. As part of a small tax department, the Tax Specialist will gain exposure to a broad range of tax areas.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Accounting and Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of the income tax provision and ongoing tax accounting maintenance
- Upload and manage tax data in OneSource Tax Provision
- Generate reports and perform comparative analysis using OneSource Tax Provision
- Calculate M adjustments and reconcile deferred tax balances
- Prepare tax account reconciliations for federal, state, and international entities, and propose necessary adjustments
- Support the annual external tax audit process
- Assist with Superfund tax compliance reporting and prepare monthly account reconciliations in OneStream
Tax Research and Planning
- Conduct research on technical tax issues and prepare clear, well-documented internal memorandums
- Monitor and stay current on changes in state tax laws and regulations
- Analyze and calculate the tax implications of expanding into new tax jurisdictions
Tax Administration and Miscellaneous Tax Items
- Support the enhancement and implementation of tax processes and participate in special projects
- Prepare requisitions for purchase order requests in SAP for tax-related vendors
- Assist with updating the cash forecast of tax-related payments
- Coordinate tax payments with Treasury and Account Payable team
Team
- Reports to the Tax Manager/Tax Director
- Peer includes Indirect Tax Principal
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of progressive tax experience with industry and/or accounting firm tax experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
- Proficiency in OneSource or similar software for provision and tax returns
- SAP experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, specifically Excel

- Strong organizational and time management skills; self-motivated and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high attention to detail
- Skilled at identifying issues and escalating them appropriately
- Proficient in researching and interpreting complex tax technical matters
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and vendors
