QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
The prospective consultant should meet the following minimum requirements:
Have proven experience delivering similar assignments for international NGOs, donor-funded projects, government agencies, or development partners.
Experience in the public health or development sector is an added advantage. Demonstrate the capacity to deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timelines and accommodate revisions based on client feedback.
A bachelor’s degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Multimedia Design, Mass Communication, or another relevant field.
Demonstrated professional experience and an exceptional portfolio may be considered in lieu of a specific design degree.
A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in graphic design, visual communication, branding, publication design, or related creative services.
A strong professional portfolio demonstrating experience in designing reports, publications, presentations, infographics, social media assets, event materials, branded merchandise, and other print and digital communication products. Demonstrated experience developing brand-compliant materials and reusable/editable templates, particularly for organizations, development programmes, NGOs, government institutions, or similar clients.
Advanced proficiency in relevant professional design software, particularly Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, as well as the ability to develop professionally designed and fully editable Microsoft Word and PowerPoint templates.
Strong knowledge of print production requirements, including dimensions, bleed, resolution, colour modes (CMYK/RGB), typography, file preparation, and production-ready artwork.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and consistently apply brand guidelines, logo hierarchy, typography, colour palettes, and co-branding requirements across different products. This is particularly important because the CHW programme plan prohibits vendors/designers from independently altering or rearranging approved Mastercard Foundation or MSH Nigeria brand assets.
Ability to translate complex technical and programme information into clear, compelling, audience-appropriate visual communication.
Excellent attention to detail, creativity, visual judgment, and consistency across multiple design products.
Ability to receive and incorporate consolidated feedback and deliver final products within agreed timelines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
