About the Position
Retail is one of HOLY’s biggest growth opportunities, and this role sits at the heart of making that growth reliable. As Sr. Retail Procurement Manager, you will own the operational procurement decisions that keep our products, packaging, displays, and accessories available across markets and campaigns.
You will turn imperfect forecasts into concrete order decisions, manage POs and replenishment, follow up closely with suppliers, track ETAs and capacity, and drive escalations and recovery plans when something is at risk. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to the details and does not stop at “the supplier said it should be fine”.
Responsibilities:
- Turn demand into order decisions: Use retail forecasts, campaign calendars, current stock, open POs, lead times, and MOQs to decide what to order, when, and in what quantity. Challenge assumptions and take clear ownership of the resulting decisions.
- Run POs and replenishment: Own the full procurement process across retail powders, sachets, packaging, displays, accessories and co-packs, including regular replenishment, campaign orders, PO changes, confirmations and emergency top-ups.
- Drive supplier execution: Follow up hands-on with suppliers on production status, capacity, quantities, milestones and ETAs. Push for reliable commitments and make sure agreed actions are completed.
- Manage risks and recovery plans: Identify delays, shortages, capacity issues, quality risks and changing delivery dates early. Escalate clearly, align on a recovery plan and track it until the issue is resolved.
- Make launches and campaigns happen: Own the procurement workstream for new country entries, packaging and product format transitions, seasonal campaigns, displays and new retail formats.
- Balance availability and cash: Make practical decisions that balance service level, inventory, MOQ, lead time, waste risk, working capital and COGS.
- Improve visibility and execution quality: Keep Odoo, Spherecast, SKU/GTIN/BOM data, PO tracking and supplier reporting accurate. Give cross-functional stakeholders a clear view of confirmed facts, risks, decisions, and next steps.
About You
- Hands-on procurement experience: Several years of experience in retail procurement, replenishment, or supply chain within FMCG, consumer goods, retail, or a comparable fast-moving environment.
- Operational PO & replenishment ownership: Proven experience placing orders, making reorder decisions, following up with suppliers, and managing deliveries through to completion. This role requires operational ownership, not only strategic procurement experience.
- Sound decisions with imperfect information: Ability to turn an imperfect forecast into a clear view of what to order, when to order it, how much to order, and which risks to accept.
- Exceptional attention to detail: A habit of checking details, challenging unclear information and not accepting forecasts, POs or delivery dates without validation—while following up until commitments are reliable and issues are resolved.
- Strong supplier management: Comfort discussing capacity, quantities, production timelines, ETAs, OTIF performance and recovery plans with manufacturers, packaging partners and co-packers.
- Analytical and systems-minded: Strength in spreadsheets plus hands-on ERP experience, ideally with Odoo or a comparable system.
- Clear, proactive communication: Ability to distinguish facts from assumptions, flag risks early, and provide a clear recommendation and next step. Fluent German and English at C1+ level are required.
