We are looking to add a Portfolio Governance Analyst to our Cyber Security team based in Derby, on a permanent basis with both full-time and part-time working considered

Reporting to the Head of Cyber Portfolio, Change and Awareness, you will work closely with Programme Managers, Project Managers, Architects, and stakeholders across Cyber Security, Digital & IT and the wider business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to develop experience in cyber portfolio governance, delivery assurance and programme management within a complex enterprise environment. There are also opportunities for this role to gain other experience in Cyber security practises such as cyber awareness and phishing simulations.
What you will be doing:
As the Cyber Security Portfolio Governance Analyst, you will support the effective governance, reporting and coordination of the Cyber Security portfolio, helping delivery teams to keep projects on track and ensuring leaders have clear visibility of progress, risks and decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day governance of the Cyber Security portfolio, ensuring projects operate in line with agreed reporting cycles, governance standards and delivery processes, while maintaining accurate and accessible portfolio plans, milestone summaries and governance packs.
- Coordinate portfolio governance forums and leadership meetings, including preparing agendas and materials, capturing key actions and decisions, and proactively following up with owners to ensure commitments and progress are maintained.
- Track and provide assurance over project delivery performance against agreed time, cost, scope and quality measures, monitoring key milestones, dependencies and delivery commitments and highlighting projects that are at risk or require additional support.
- Work closely with project and delivery teams to maintain accurate plans, forecasts and status updates, supporting the identification, management and tracking of recovery actions where projects are off track or require additional focus.
- Develop clear and concise portfolio dashboards, reports and leadership summaries, consolidating project information into a single view of portfolio health covering progress, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions and areas requiring leadership attention.
- Analyse portfolio data to identify trends, themes, emerging risks and cross-project dependencies, providing meaningful insight to support informed decision-making across Cyber Security leadership, portfolio reviews, steering committees and wider governance forums.
- Build strong relationships across Cyber Security delivery teams, project managers and business stakeholders, acting as a central point of coordination while promoting consistent reporting and governance practices and identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve portfolio visibility and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements
- Experience or strong interest in project delivery, PMO, portfolio coordination, governance or cyber security.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and follow-ups.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret information, identify risks or gaps, and summarise key messages clearly.
- Confident using Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Power BIand SharePoint.
- Ability to work with data and reporting information to produce clear updates, dashboards and summaries.
- Willingness to learn about cyber security, portfolio management, delivery governance and business change.
