Key Responsibilities:

Job Profile

The purpose of the position is to support the Cluster/ Programme team to carry out activities in a timely manner while ensuring quality Administration, Logistic & Vehicle Driving services and efficient utilization of resources in compliance with applicable standards.

Major Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the landlord of the office premises and other operational contacts such as janitorial services, security company, courier services etc. in keeping the office fully functional.

  • Maintenance of office equipment and overseeing repairs.

  • Responsible for management of office vehicles and hiring of private vehicles.

  • Maintain office travel logs, inventory, and fuel usage of generator, vehicle, etc.

  • Collect quotations under the guidance of Finance & Procurement staff.

  • Safe and responsible driving of office vehicles.

  • Routine maintenance and care of vehicles in line with the specific technical procedures and requirements as stated in the vehicle operations manual.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

  • Five (5) years of experience in the development sector related to Administration & Logistics.

  • More than three (3) years of proven experience as a Driver preferably in an INGO/NGO context.

  • Diploma in Business Administration or any other relevant field.

  • Valid driving license – Heavy vehicle license is required.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team.

  • Fluency in computer literacy.

  • Sinhala and Tamil languages are preferred. Fair knowledge of English Language is needed
