This position reports to:
Planning & Fulfillment Manager__
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase goods from internal (feeder factories) and external suppliers according to the delivery schedule, transportation mode, price, special requirements, and terms and conditions. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities are aligned with company purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by handling urgent situations to ensure timely deliveries.
The work model for the role is: Onsite
This role is contributing to the Electrification Business Area in Longmeadow Gauteng.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Releasing purchase requisitions and initiating purchase orders in the system, aligning them with customer requirements (based on ERP and standard operation procedures) and as per the release strategy and table of authorities.
Monitoring suppliers’ order acknowledgments and dispatch advice, along with the inbound freight, customs clearance, and local transportation processes.
Tracking the purchase orders backlog and performing regular expending activities with internal (feeder factories) and external suppliers to ensure customer on-time delivery.
Monitoring Supplier On Time Delivery
Minimizing the late backlog by proactively identifying root causes and implementing recovery plans; and tracking goods received at the warehouse to verify appropriate delivery and ensures invoice processing and high customer service level.

Oversee supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolve performance issues
Aligns supplier orders with customer requirements (based on ERP or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability, and price
Pro-active approach in identifying improvement Opportunities within your work space e.g.. Improvement Project
Qualifications for the role
2 years of experience in procurement roles and supply chain.
Diploma in supply chain management
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems (SAP) and PowerBi is a plus.
English fluency (written and spoken) is required.
