THE ROLE YOU'LL PLAY:

As our Financial Aid Advisor, you'll work with prospective students to determine their aid eligibility and help them apply for the appropriate loans or grants. You'll need a solution-oriented mindset, a strong competency with numbers, and professional communication skills for discussing sensitive financial matters with prospects and their families. Organization and attention to detail are crucial, as you'll need to stay on top of multiple deadlines and help ensure students complete and submit all required paperwork on time.

You will be responsible for administering the financial aid once the student has started. You'll stress the importance of paying the loans back to the students and help resolve any disbursement or processing issues that might arise. Throughout all your activities, you'll follow our Paul Mitchell systems and maintain organized records for regulatory compliance audits. You'll attend frequent team meetings and weekly director meetings as well as help out with other responsibilities as needed.

WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR FINANCIAL AID ADVISOR:

• Title IV financial aid experience - must-have
• An analytical mindset for working with numbers and identifying solutions
• Attention to detail, high levels of accuracy, and effective multitasking skills
• Positive, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills
• 1+ years of financial aid experience - preferred
• Bilingual fluency - preferred
