Job Statement

As our operations continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Geology Manager to lead the geology function across our Laverton Operations.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for delivering accurate and timely geological information that underpins safe, efficient mining while driving resource growth and reserve conversion to support the long-term success of our operations.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will provide technical leadership to the Geology team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality grade control models, effective geological data management and strategic drilling programs. You will work closely with Mining, Engineering, Processing and Exploration teams to optimise mine performance and maximise value from our ore bodies.

You will also play a key role in developing your team, managing geological contractors, maintaining statutory compliance and contributing to operational leadership across site.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Geology team, fostering a high-performance safety-focused culture.
• Ensure accurate geological data collection and the timely delivery of grade control models to Engineering.
• Develop and execute resource growth and reserve conversion drilling programs.
• Manage drilling contractors to achieve quality, safety and production outcomes.
• Deliver Mine-to-Mill reconciliation reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and manage the annual Geology budget.
• Recruit, develop and mentor geology professionals.
• Partner closely with Mining, Processing and Exploration teams to optimise ore forecasting and operational performance.
• Maintain compliance with statutory requirements, company standards and geological best practice.
• Act as Alternate Site Senior Executive when required.

About You

You are an experienced geology leader with a passion for developing people, improving geological processes and delivering technical excellence. You thrive in a collaborative mining environment and enjoy working across multiple disciplines to achieve operational success.

You will bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology.
• Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence.
• WA Statutory Supervisor's Certificate.
• Extensive experience within gold mining geology, including grade control and resource development.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams and contractors.
• Strong understanding of mine geology, geological modelling, drilling programs and mine-to-mill reconciliation.
• Excellent communication, planning and stakeholder engagement skills.

The following will be highly regarded:

• Honours or postgraduate qualification in Geology.
• Membership of a recognised professional geological organisation.
• WA Senior Site Executive (SSE) Certificate.
• Broad experience across open pit, underground and resource estimation.
