Pendry Barbados (opening 2027) and Pendry Residences Barbados (beginning in late 2026) together mark the first Caribbean resort and residences destination for Pendry Hotels & Resorts. Located in St. Peter on Barbados' prestigious west coast (known as the "Platinum Coast"), the resort will feature approximately 80 oceanfront guest rooms and suites, alongside 46 private Pendry Residences—fully-furnished, whole-ownership homes. Amenities will include a 110-berth marina, multiple distinctive dining concepts, (including a Signature Restaurant, Marina Pool, Speakeasy and Market), Spa Pendry with eight treatment rooms, a state-of-the-art fitness center, expansive event spaces, and signature family-centric offerings including Paintbox Children’s Club and Compass Sports.
The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for the strategic leadership, development, and overall resort-wide revenue, implementation and results including group and transient rooms, group food and beverage, meeting room rental, local catering, outlet, and other revenues. Strategies will include market mix, pricing, direct sales, marketing, and acquisition status and results. Maximize profitability for the resort and provide outstanding quality service for the guests. Accountable to market performance as well as budget, forecast, and target goals. Provides leadership to sales team to achieve goals and objectives. As a key member of the Executive Committee, the Director of Sales and Marketing partners closely with the General Manger to position the resort as a market-leading luxury destination in the Caribbean, maximizing RevPAR, ADR, Indexing, and overall profitability.
Your Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with brand standards and goals
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of key feeder markets including analyzing airlift, seasonality, and booking behaviors specific to the Caribbean luxury segment
- Direct and manage all group, transient, and catering/banquet sales activities to maximize revenue for the resort
- Prepare, implement and compile data for the strategic sales plan, monthly report, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts and other reports as directed/required
- Actively liaise with Montage International leaders in each respective discipline to oversee hotel marketing across all channels: brand website, social media, email, paid search, OTA presence, and PR activities.
- Work with Revenue Management leaders to develop rates, group ceilings and deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management
- Recruit, direct, manage, train and counsel a geographically dispersed sales and marketing organization. Oversee departmental matters as they relate to applicable international, local employment, and civil rights laws
- Actively participate in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetings. Conduct/attend daily business review meetings, weekly strategic sales meetings, management meetings and other meetings as required/ requested
- Manage/direct all advertising, public relations and promotional activities to align with market-specific travel patterns
- Achieve and exceed group budgeted room nights and revenue goals annually
- Analyze and estimate total value of each piece of business and negotiate best situation for achieving optimum revenue and profit for the hotel while ensuring excellent customer service.
- Develop and utilize the marketing plan in order to uncover new and potential business
- Represent the property in ownership and asset manager meetings, presenting revenue performance, sales strategy, and market analysis
- Ensure accuracy for forecasting of revenues with the most updated information, using and maximizing our tools and systems
- Deep understanding of digital marketing tactics to be deployed at in international level
- Assist Sales/Catering/Conference Services in obtaining necessary customer information and closing business, as requested

Must Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- Five to seven years of sales and marketing leadership in similar sized luxury operation preferred
- Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Delphi
- Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required
- Extensive knowledge of sales
- Ability to assess/evaluate Associates’ performance fairly
- Extensive knowledge of revenue management
- Ability to recruit, supervise, train and motivate multiple levels of managers
- Knowledge of hotel and competitive market
- Ability to analyze data and establish appropriate action plans

Physical Requirements:
- Grasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending over
- Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift
- Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi - regular basis
