About the Role
We are looking for a full or part time Optical Assistant to join our friendly team delivering outstanding patient care. You’ll play a key role in providing expert advice, sharing knowledge on frames and fittings, and delivering ongoing care that makes patients feel confident, comfortable, and cared for.
As an Optical Assistant, you’ll support patients with everything from frame styling and lens choices to fittings, adjustments, and aftercare. You’ll offer product knowledge that’s tailored to each person’s visual and lifestyle needs. You’ll also be responsible for day to day practice admin tasks, so you should be comfortable with general IT and skills. Previous retail experience woudl be advantageous.
You'll be a friendly, reliable point of contact for both patients and colleagues. Above all, you’ll bring a genuine interest in people, an eye for detail, and a caring, can do attitude to every part of your day.
Additional Information:
- Previous Optical experience is desirable, however not essential as full training will be given
- A can do attitude and enthusiastic personality is essential
- IT, retail skills and the ability to sell spectacles will be part of your every day job
- Full or part time hours available, based on working full days 9.00 - 17.00
