Description
S-E-A is an established national forensic engineering firm seeking to add a passionate Developer to our team due to growth! Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop full-stack custom solutions to automate and improve internal processes
- Act as the subject matter expert for developed applications and provide technical support as needed. Ensure the reliability, performance and stability of all solutions owned
- Develop tailored testing and quality assurance procedures to match project or solution complexity and risk
- Under direction of the IT Director and Associate Director of Technical Services, engage with the business as needed to support developed solutions
- Work with the relevant end users in developing and delivering enhancements and new capabilities as well as driving and managing those efforts
- Maintain current and accurate architecture and support documentation
- Collaborate in the creation and use of training and activities for applications supported
- Provides coaching to IT support staff on troubleshooting and best practices
- Participates in after-hours deployments or support, as needed
- Other duties as necessary
Proficiencies:
- Understanding of programming, application design, UI/UX design and workflow integration
- Proficient in any modern programming or scripting language.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Apps preferred
- Some level of comfort maintaining source control (Git, branching, etc.).
- Ability to work with project management resources on plans, tasks, and resource management
- Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and other integration mechanisms are preferred
- Working knowledge of application security best practices, secure development principles, and data protection requirements
- Familiarity with related IT fundamentals, such as infrastructure, development, and operations
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or similar technical degree (Math, Engineering, etc.) with coding portfolio as supplement
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers at all levels
- 1-3 years of post academic experience is preferred
- Strong analytical and reasoning abilities
- Regular and predictable presence at work
- Ability to accept and integrate constructive feedback
